DACHSHUNDS
Puppy Purchase Info
Purchasing a new "family member" is an important decision and one not to be taken lightly as your new pup may be a part of your household for upwards of 18 years! We love each and every pup and exercise due diligence in finding their homes.
If you have landed on this page, then you must be seriously considering a puppy!
The puppies we do not keep to show are placed in approved, loving, responsible, lifetime pet companion homes that provide us assurance they have the knowledge and financial means to care for these special puppies. Pet companions are sold under spay/neuter agreements. This does not necessarily mean they lack qualities suitable to show in conformation.
Our breeding program for dachshunds is based upon honesty and integrity. We treat you like we desire to be treated! Since we raise only a few litters per year (one or two), we recommend securing a spot on our Waiting List. Our pet companion puppies from champion lineage typically range in price from $2,500 - $3,500 based upon their parentage and individual evaluation as compared to the DCA/AKC standard.
We are serious about matching puppies with the right families (including their fur fam)! We will NOT sell to breeders who do not show and embrace our high standards and philosophy for producing the next generation of quality Dachshunds.
Making the purchase is the "easy part." Getting acquainted with and training your new companion takes time & commitment, so PLEASE consider your purchase wisely and carefully as many dachshunds live as long as 12-18 years.
Please do not ask us to lower our price - We prefer to keep it SIMPLE and FAIR for everyone!

our Puppy evaluation process
We evaluate our puppies every four weeks beginning at eight weeks. Sometimes, we will "grow out" one or more puppies beyond 12-weeks for further evaluation since so many things are still developing such as temperament, coat, aptitude, etc. So, from time to time, a puppy may not be available until 5-9 months. But, in such a case, the older puppy will have much more training. Some of our "star" puppies joined their new families at nine months such as "Lily" owned by Dr. Paul Klotman, President Baylor College of Medicine. Lily goes to work with him every day and participates in his weekly BCM YouTube updates. In fact, in this clip, Dr. Klotman shares that "The American Heart Association released a survey that found 95% of most pet parents rely on their pet for stress relief."
our WAITING LIST
We NEVER add anyone to our Waiting List or accept a deposit without first providing the sire and dam's photos and pedigrees, the Wait List Agreement, the Puppy Purchase Agreement and Health Guarantee for your review! We do our best not to place more prospective owners on the Waiting List than we anticipate puppies for in the near future. Often we wait until the litter arrives, so we do not have more puppy parents than puppies.
Since we raise only a few litters (every year or so), we recommend securing a spot on our Waiting List. We no longer accept deposits to be added to our waiting list. Instead, we ask that you read through ALL purchase information herewith, and if you are willing to wait for a special Seven Oaks puppy or one happens to be available now, then Contact Us via the form below to provide a bit of information and request a Puppy Application.
Please do not contact us if you cannot afford to spend $2,500-3,500 for the puppy plus routine care including quality dog food and supplements, monthly heart worm, flea & tick preventative, remaining puppy vaccines and annual adult vaccines, plus items to keep the puppy comfortable, entertained and safe. Please allow us several days to reply as we lead extremely busy lives. You will be added to our Waiting List once we have verified your references, spoken to you by phone and mutually agree to proceed. A Wait List Agreement with details regarding your puppy preferences and where you are on the list, will be provided. Once both parties have signed the agreement, you will be officially in line for one of our puppie! From that point, we will be in communication about upcoming litters, etc. A 25% deposit of purchase price is required once we determine we have a puppy for you.

OUR PRICING
We price our puppies based upon their parentage and individual evaluation as compared to the DCA/AKC standard as well as their lineage, not based upon a particular sex, color, or pattern. Our pet companion puppies with champion lineage typically range in price from $2,500 - $3,500 based upon their individual evaluation. Pricing does not include transportation, etc.
Our Puppy VET CARE
Our puppies receive vaccinations (per the protocol for Mississippi) at 6, 9, 12 and 15 weeks plus a health & fecal check by a licensed veterinarian prior to going to new homes. They are dewormed regularly. Once they turn 3 months old, Mississippi Law requires rabies vaccination prior to air travel. You may download a printable PDF of the Summary of Mississippi Animal Rabies Laws.
