This is the THIRD episode of what we call DAYS of Our K9 LIVES. When you do K9 life without any helpers, you improvise and capture what you can. This is the SECOND episode of what we call DAYS of Our K9 LIVES. We took a trip to a friends training facility and began a couple of new exercises. Being extremely busy outside of our K9 lives, we do our best to constantly prepare our pups for their next adventure - whether with us or with their new family. The talented 5-mo old puppy girl in this video is AVAILABLE via private treaty. She has so much potential from home/farm companion to competition! She is a perfect age to mold however her new handler/owner desires! Life is extremely BUSY here at 7OaksK9. Here's a look into the DAYS of our K9 Lives... Sometimes our DAYS are comical - sometimes NOT... Whatever the case, we do our best to constantly prepare our pups for their next adventure whether with us or with their new family. SEVEN puppies joined our 7OaksK9 family on April 21, 2023 We are super excited about this litter! They were born with optimal pigmentation and are healthy and strong! Max and Xara hope to welcome their second litter in late AprilWe are excited about the possibilities of another awesome pack of pups from these amazing K9s! Max and Xara produce incredibly intelligent, gorgeous puppies in both dark sable and jet black! We can't wait to see what they have this time!
After a puppy learns its name and to "come/HERE", we begin with the basic "sit/SITZ" (rhymes with fits) command. The puppy expected to remain in a SITZ until another command is given or they are released. After the SITZ, we teach "down/PLATZ" (rhymes with shots) where they are expected to stay until another command is given or they are released. After the PLATZ, we teach them to "heel/FUSS" (rhymes with goose) where they are to walk at their handler's left side as he/she walks and sit when he/she stops walking. After learning these THREE major commands, we put it all together, usually in a totally different location from where they learned each of the other commands. Here is Adia's first day "putting ALL three together" at 4.5 months old. She is incredibly smart and willing to please her handler! Be sure to WATCH Part 1! Just over a year ago on October 22, 2021, we picked up this little (now over 110 pounds) guy (Udo vom Kraftwerk) from Nashville International Airport. He was flown air cargo via Alaska Air from Seattle, WA to Nashville, TN, then rode home with us to Mississippi. That was a BIG day in all of our lives! |
