"Brigitta" is looking for her "Perfect Pet Companion" home! She is a beautiful shaded red longhaired miniature dachshund (whelped 8/8/2019) from long-standing, champion-bred lines (29 champions and 2 grand champions in her parents' five-generation pedigree). Raised in our home, "Brigitta" is very much a part of the family and is familiar with typical house noises (vacuum cleaner, TV, music, etc). Held back as a potential show prospect, she is fully crate trained; Brigitta is content to hang-out in her crate unattended for several hours if necessary for errands and is accustomed to sleeping in her crate overnight with no accidents. Incredibly, we have never heard her bark or whine in her crate. Brigitta is accustomed to hanging out most of the time in our home or a lap (with or without other dogs around). She is an excellent "eater" and enjoys her share of greenies when it is time to "crate-up." She has an easy-going, kind-hearted temperament but will also announce the arrival of an unfamiliar guest. She does very well being groomed regularly (bath, blow dry, nail grinding and pad trimming).
